July 2009 - As many Americans are planning to display their patriotism this Fourth of July, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) wants to urge consumers to beware of possible dangers associated with fireworks. CPSC will hold a news conference on the National Mall – the first event for the new CPSC Chairman - to demonstrate those potential hazards and to urge consumers to celebrate safely.

The only consumer fireworks are the sparklers and fountains. Everything esle is either bombs or professional shells. Might as well warm of the dangers of "illegal" fireworks by showing someone set off a cluster bomb. Is everything the CPSC does propaganda?

Good old anti fireworks propaganda....warn about the dangers of consumer fireworks....yet show mostly professional fireworks and explosives(not fireworks) hurting dummies. There is no such thing as an m-80 or m1000. Can you go into any fireworks store and buy an m-80? Nope. M-80 is not a firework. It's an explosive, no different than a pipe bomb.

Gee, the M-1000's that they sell at Phantom fireworks barely go "POOF" let alone blow out the walls of a house. The CPSC are nothing short of over zealous protectors wannabes!
