@borneo215 What you're doing is just another form of racism. While you discuss/argue the question of what THEY should describe themselves as, you're forgetting or omitting to address the real issues. Have you ever gone to match a black garment with another? there's lots of different colours that are called 'black', as there are with white fabrics - the same with skin colour. Of course, the aboriginal people in the top end of Australia are very black, but those down south are too!

@borneo215 - They call themselves black! It has nought to do with you whether you like it or not. Just another example of your arrogance. It's not only people from Africa who are black. The reasons children were stolen was because they weren't 'black enough'? In fact, in some families of perhaps 4 kids, only one might be removed due to a lighter skin colour. With that in mind, imagine how offensive it is to aboriginal people when you tell them not to use the word 'black'? It's their business!

@sleeaustralind im not tryin to persuade any1, all i doin is tellin ppl like u what really happens out here. ur right, they are treated differently, about 5 times better than everyone else in this country. yet ppl like u blame us for them stabbin each other, robbing us, breakin everythin the government gives them, stayin unemployed & spendin all the taxpayers money they get for nothing on alcohol, then filin hospitals almost dead because of the grog. i no its not the case with every1, but almost

@what37fisa - You have shot yourself in the foot mate. The statistics are racist - Aborigines are treated differently to other Aussies - the stats prove it. Your use of over simplified generalisations (such as city people , are that way because of themselves etc) only serve to ridicule your already non-existant argument.
