I agree with the latter portion of your comment. Real change is very slow, but overall we're moving this country in a positive direction. I love how all the conservative wackjobs keep acting like Armeggedon is here since a black man is in office and they keep acting like the moral fibers of our country have deteriorated to nothing, but we are living in one of the most tolerant ages where women, blacks, gays, disabled, etc. are all getting beginning to be treated with equality.

You're right in what you said but what about the illegals that keep violating the borders and are sucking up US tax dollars? The poor quality of public schooling thanks to them and the escalating violence in California? We're really about the only tolerant nation to the point where we're helping everyone but ourselves.

How much can we really do about the rest of the problems we currently face in this country? Most of it is high level government bullshit that would take unifying a badly divided nation. The corporations wouldn't help b/c it'd be their loss and neither would the insurance industry since they'd get screwed too. So many problems and very little we can actually do. It's frustrating
