*RR Rescue Me (ABC P-2257) and Karen Zierler present Comanche Riding and the Curly Horse to a large audience in Wiener Neustadt, Austria. In the presentation Karen describes the history of the Curly Horse, about the breeding associations, about the authentic Comanche Saddle and War Bridle, hand made by part Shoshone (and accepted Texas Comanche nation member) Mitch Wilkinson, and about efforts to preserve the wild Curly Mustang in America. She is well received, and afterwards several trainers come to test and try out the saddle.

Do they make good first horses

@lionsexlover Curly Horses are in general relaxed loving horses, of course each horse in an individual. Curly Horses are often first horses because many allergy sufferers never had the opportunity to train because of their allergies, and so buy a Curly.

@Dixispirit514 Thanks! I didn't make it, our friend (who is part Comanche) made the saddle and bridle. He's been making these for more than 20 years, and rides exclusively with this rig. He also can shoot from the horse with a bow and arrow while in full manuevering gallop. I have thought to take some pictures of the individual pieces so that people can learn to make them. The leather is braided around a rope I think.

It was the eastern Shoshone that killd hump not the northern shoshone and plus hump got killed in the wind river valley
