@ZXAmiga64 It's because these levels use backgrounds which are fairly costly to get on screen and that leaves no processor time for sound routines.

Graphics and sound was always top notch from Odin. Heartland was another good looking/sounding game that springs to mind.

this is one of the best and underestimated shooters on the speccy. it just goes to show what was achievable with the limitations if some effort was put in to the game design.

@mildredsmittens Can't believe i never played this before. A classic but just too hard to be worthy of classic. If programmers were left alone without time restraints they could produce the goods.

This game looks really nice, what happend to the sound on the 2nd level ?
Nice scrolling/parallax (?). on the 2nd level, sexy.

@ZXAmiga64 The secondary levels on each planet have no sound for some reason. Don't know why. Maybe they are silent planets or something technical. I thought I had played this before but I never did. Good blaster for the time.

Odin could shove a game together no bother. I don't know how Crosswize got a higher rating than this though. This is tough but it's well designed and shits all over Crosswize. Not a big fan of Heartland although it looks great.
