I fell in love with this song many years ago when I first heard it on Boy Meets World (the episode in which Cory and Topanga first break up - this song played at the end, during the montage of their relationship, although the singer was different). It came up again on my iPod a few days ago, and listening to it I couldn't help but think of Jim and Pam. This video is (hopefully) a poignant take on Jim and Pam's relationship during the first three seasons, and the pain they experienced as they watched the one they love fall into the arms of another.

i completely agree! especially the part where he says "it's not really a date if the girl goes home to her fiance . . . right?" that STILL shatters my heart a little when I see it.

Even in one of the best comedies, there is still room for a tender side of the story.

That's what I love about The Office - as crazy as it can be, it has some of the most poignant moments that I've ever seen on TV. Even Michael makes my heart break a few times each season (I can't even begin to count the number of times Jim has put me on the edge of tears!).
