For many centuries, humankind was unable to study certain data contained in the verses of the Qur'an because they did not possess sufficient scientific means. It is only today that numerous verses of the Qur'an dealing with natural phenomena have become comprehensible. A reading of old commentaries on the Qur'an, however knowledgeable their authors may have been in their day, bears solemn witness to a total inability to grasp the depth of meaning in such verses. I could even go so far as to say that, in the 20th century, with its compartmentalization of ever-increasing knowledge, it is still not easy for the average scientist to understand everything he reads in the Qur'an on such subjects, without having recourse to specialized research. This means that to understand all such verses of the Qur'an, one is nowadays required to have an absolutely encyclopedic knowledge embracing many scientific disciplines.

In this video one shall see how the expansion of the universe was revealed in the Koran 1400 years before scientists discovered it. It was discovered in the mid 20th century.

  • "He stretches out the north over empty space;

He hangs the earth on nothing." - Job 26:7

Like the comment below, the Bible was written before the Qur'an. The Bible said that the universe is expanding before the Qur'an.

  • i am sorry to inform you that what you just quoted doesnt make any sense. so for you the north means universe??

  • "It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, And spreads them out like a tent to dwell in." - Isaiah 40:22

  • you are shooting your self in the foot. first, is the earth a circle?? the bible says the earth

is flat and circle like... is that really true? i dont think so

  • It is we who are expanding it....... Can you be 100% shure that they met that the universe is expanding and not that islam is expanding and finding new territories on earth..? And 8elhaj you said that this proves that rere is a god??? How?? This says that some1 maybe predicted that universe is expanding nothing else in my mind ..... i think becouse im not a muslim i dont have to belive every single word said in Koran

Sorry if my english was bad so hard words

  • come on, i mean if u know English u could see that he said the universe expands and there is no word as Islam or religion in that sentence, so yeah as a normal human being who knows English i understand that he was talking about the universe. This is not a prediction; GOD didn't say I predict it will expand, he said he is expanding it.

By the way if u think all of this is a coincidence then stay tuned on my channel I will be posting more scientific truths in the Koran.

    salam to all

  • Quran is the truth.

There is only ONE Quran which is in Arabic.

While there are many many version of the Bible, and each are diffrent

  • mlamry01

good job with providing the verse with lightning. just goes to show that the scientific facts in the Quran arent guesswork and random. the author of the quran is intentionally making an attempt to include scientific facts.

  • It's so true. In the quran there are kind of things that we don't knew it yet. Macha'Allah

  • As it is with the same for "proof" of Science in the Bible, it are modified translations with modern or "suitable" synonyms for ancient words, wishful/twisted interpretations of poetic phrases and wild associations with modern knowledge. If for example Newton's Principia would be interpreted this way, one might find it predicts the Last Day of Judgement, Divine Creation, etc. Surely, if one would make the effort, it could be "found". The Principia a "holy book", Newton a prophet?

  • @understandingislam Surrah 51:47 "...and verily, we have made it wide" (Zetterstén & Bell). The Arabic text also allows:"we are capable of everything" (Paret) and:"we are full of generousity" (Blachére). The translation here with "expanding" is faulty, not to say fraudulent!

  • just silliness!

  • "It is we who are steadily expanding it "

Mr Mohammad was a traveler, he found it astonishing that whenever he was reaching the horizon (he thought it was the end), the heaven would move further away.

Its ridiculous to claim that this has anything incredible or scientific to it.

  • "it is we who are steadily expanding it?"

Who is we? The laws of physics? Because they are responsible for the expansion of the universe.

This is what people who are unfamiliar with the law of big numbers would call a coincidence and it is quite vague anyways. It could refere to a lot of things.

  • I dont understand why some people talk about things beyond their level of understanding. The verses do NOT say vast universe or space. It clearly says in Arabic expanding universe. Try to learn Arabic by a real and knowledgeable Arabic teacher instead of presumption and looking for the translations that YOU like. The fact is there is consensus than it means expanding by Arabic scholars.

    PEACE

  • Sorry I misunderstood, I read your comment again and I do now see the sarcasm, its not your english its me who didnt read it in the spirit it was written. you make a great and valid point! Thankyou
