Oregon Trail Review

Review of Oregon Trail which is is a program designed to engage students in a journey filled with decision making while having them take part in an interactive migration westward, similar to the migration of the early 19th century pioneers. Students work towards achieving a high score at the conclusion of the game based on point values they receive for the decisions they make throughout the course of the game. The results of their decisions, the professions they choose, the number and health of surviving family members and their remaining possessions and cash on hand, are evaluated using formula weighted point values which determine their final score.
