Hi, May I ask your opinion on what tuning a beginner should start with for a button accordion or does it depend on the music that you want to play? I see that Hohner makes a beginner to intermediate accordions Panther, Compadre with CFG, ADG, FBbEb. BbEbAb ...etc?

@NewEnglandgardening in alpine music, everyone plays a button accordion with different keys, although I suppose the most typical keys are C,F,Bb,Eb

Is traditional German music played more on the piano accordion or push button accordian? Or does it matter? I don't see too many videos with button accordion and German music.

@NewEnglandgardening 'alpine' folk or folk-pop is typically played on piano accordion as much as it is on diatonic button accordion, search on youtube for terms like 'volksmusik' and 'oberkrainer' and you will see both accordions being used

that is a Weltmeister, german made accordion. I had a Weltmeister when I was 11. I am hungarian, but I used to play this song, the title might be Schneider Fanni.
