My guild recently downed this and one of the things that was causing problems were the spinners hanging from the ceiling, they do so much more damage if you let them hang from up top, around 20k per second (on 10m) while they only mele for around 2k, so always make sure you never have any spinners hanging! just a quick tip that made one hell of a difference for us.

@gabestah Yeah thanks for tips. Are guild is a bit limited too classes (Smite priest) but we are going to try just 1 dps up top in next raid. Just going to make sure we get to phase 2 then we think our healers can cope fine.

@gabestah Yeah, people where dropping in holes we couldn't see. And we'd slap the ground loosing half hp or most of the time, dying.
Is there a trick to stopping her healing off the spiderlings at the beginning of phase 2? Is it just that the DPS have to make sure they are dead before she drops or should the tank be taunting her away from them?
Also, i was wondering if for phase 2 there would be any downside to having one tank always taking the widow's kiss and the other standing in the dps and healer pile, mainly to make avoiding widow's kiss aoe easier. Does she do anything such as cleave that would make this a bad idea?

@TheCackling While we only had one Phase 2 attempt which you see in the video, it seems once she's fully on the ground, she'll randomly consume any lesser spider (you can see the 'beam' in the video where she eats one Spiderling). The spell has 100 yard range, so I think the only reliable way to plan for the phase and have DPS burn everything early.
She has no cleave, so if your taunt and Widow's Kiss cooldown timing is superb I see no reason you couldn't keep the non-Widow tank in the group.

Just wondering if you had any problems at earlier tries for dps at the floor with adds. My group we do from 16-20k dps on ground level but seem to be getting overwhelmed. We where using me(affliction lock) spriest and Firemage. Any tips for ground level dps?

@Locust66 Difficult to say with authority as I spent most of my time above. That said, those numbers sound good enough to get the job done, so my best suggestion with that setup is to make sure those DPS are all taking advantage of their strengths (multi-dotting Spinners/Drones so they can do strong DPS while focuing AE on Spiderlings). Perhaps assign roles as well, as the SPriest and Firemage especially will be best at AEing Spiderlings, whereas you as a lock would do well on bigger adds.

@Locust66 Oh also, as an addendum to my previous comment, double-check that the Drone is never close enough to consume any Spiderling spawns, as obviously the Drone healing up will prolong the lifespan a great deal. You might also try two-healing (one top, one bottom) to give an extra DPS, or at the very least perhaps a Disc Priest healer that can Smite spam heal for a bit more damage down below. Worst case, just send one DPS up top and get further in the fight to see how the final phase is.

Hey, our only problem was people not falling in the web up top, any tips for that annoying problem?

@maverickslife I'm not clear on what you're asking, please clarify. You mean players were unable to drop down from above when they wanted to? Or that players were falling down accidentally when they shouldn't be?
