First admission: This is a complete copy off of someone else's video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-S1VmBMa2Q
Now, instead of Blender, this used 3DS MAX, After Effects CS5, and tons of Video Copilots After Shake (shakey cam) and Optical Flares as well as Film Magic Pro. First time with a Sphere BG and using a Path Constraint for the object to pass the camera. A good learning experience for me.

  • @Kie77: As always, Thanks for the kind words! Making it is fun, but when other people dig it it's even better. 3DS Max is....different. I typically use/love Maya and it's what I've come to be used to using. Max is like the younger brother of Maya. Mostly the same, but Maya is great for organic things, while Max seems to shine with hard-edges such as buildings and ships, etc. Either one is worth the learning curve. It's really not that steep of a curve, just takes some practice. Go for it!

  • That came out great. 3ds max is the next leap for me too - I must learn it. It's just such a steep learning curve eh?
