In 2002, Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss say they presented their idea for ConnectU, a social networking site for college kids, to Harvard classmate and programmer Mark Zuckerberg, now the founder and CEO of Facebook. Their account will now play out on the big screen in "The Social Network."

  • If what they are saying is true.. they really did get fucked over majorly. Having said that, they settled for $65. Now it is time to shut up. None of us working hard to make a living wanna hear this whining.

  • They should hire the Sopranos to beat the shit out of him.

  • every success story has people getting screwed... its a fact.

  • @Renegadejay123 That is one of the best lines ever... i replayed it about ten times

  • These guys are lying motherfuckers! Zuckerburg used the idea from their website and made it even better. I don't think the twins are even intellectually capable if doing such things

  • @k2477456 well hell that settles it! If you single handedly know this because your a rower...fuck...I guess Mark Z. is fucked then

  • i feel like the Winklevoss twins did Invent facebook but i think i say that because i'm a rower and i single handedly know rowers are esponsible and dont lie.

  • Let's face it, there's countless examples of this in the History. Marconi did invent the Radio, he just made it better. It's pretty simple.

  • if they invented facebook, they would have invented facebook

  • If they didn't program it, it's not theirs.

I'm a designer/programmer and every time I tell someone what I do, I get the standard, "Dude, I got this killer idea for a website..." Ideas are exactly .00001% of the equation. Execution is 99%. If you don't execute it, you don't own it.

In other words, because Leonardo Da Vinci had the idea for fly man, does that mean he owns the rights to the airplane?

  • @sheadogg12122 $65 million sounds like a lot, but think about this: if their attorneys are on a standard retainer, they'll take 35% of that. So now they're down to $42.25 million. Also remember that there are two of them plus Divya Narendra, so that's three people who split the pot...now you're down to $14 million each. Account for a 50% capital gains tax, and you end up with $7 million each. Now compare to the $17 or so BILLION that Mark Zuckerberg is worth.

  • Whoops, broke his 335 year old door knob...
