Time Machine

Time Machine is an animation from a circular camera rig containing 65 still cameras (a DIY bullet-time camera). All 65 cameras simultaneously capture Mira Hunter, a whirling dervish, as she turns in various derelict industrial sites. The film from the cameras are scanned into a computer and animated to allow the viewer to move around the stilled whirling dervish. How did you do to align mostly all the picture to the subject? Looks like it's auto-done with the video software, or is it done by hand? Either way, it adds much effect to the film!

the individual frames were aligned by hand layer by layer in photoshop. there are programs that can do this but most of them also crop the edges. this is something i wanted to keep.

I saw this film at the art exhibit it was introduced at in the little yurt and was blown away by how beautiful it was. I'm so happy you have it here on you tube as i had totally forgot about it until a week ago. Gives me goose bumps and brings tears to my eyes. Much appreciated
