This is the first part of my Mint-A-Thon series. I am going insane, and I am taking all of you with me! That's Right! We are going to have lots of fun with this operating system from installation to customisation! I will attempt to cover every important detail. I am going to break packages and rebuild them if necessary! So strap yourselves in, this is going to be one heck of a wild ride!

  • @LinuxSpatry thank you man. I'm sorry for not be clear. I'm running in a mac virtualbox and I have a partition with Ubuntu. I want to erase it to install mint without a virtual machine. Thanks again I'm a newbie in Linux haha.

  • @365DIERNIE Gparted will help you safely resize your partitions... I have a video of it on my channel and Mr Google also knows a lot about Gparted.

  • Can you delete a partition made on virtualbox? My ubuntu is extremely slow.

  • @365DIERNIE I do not understand what you mean.... If you have multiple partitions in your Virtual hard drive, YES you can use Gparted to remove a partition you do not want and then expand the other partition to give more room to the other operating system. I hope that is the answer you were looking for...

  • thanks, man! you have the most fun and most informative linux youtube channel. keep it coming.

  • Im really excited about the series! I've been really busy so i have been working on windows but now that i am getting some time on my hands, i can now play around with linux.

  • @RokuRG I may have gotten this confused with another Ubuntu derivative... Like Zorin or Pinguy and the like... most Ubuntu derivatives require you to do a fresh install otherwise you could end up with some buggy performance... Mint, Pinguy and Zorin usually take the Ubuntu core and build upon that; creating an OS that is designed & preconfigured to work out of the box, often have more features than what a STOCK Ubuntu installation has to offer...
