Juggling 3 AP classes is hard enough, but dealing with stubborn teachers who will refuse to admit any fault is the ultimate maneuver forcing my dick through my belt loop. I'm taking NONE besides AP Physics because I actually enjoy physics next year
I'm currently in high school, and let me tell you AP classes at some times are easy and others are hard. I myself was up until 2 am just the previous night to get everything I needed to done, and I didn't even manage that. Hours of homework is no question. The one aspect I like in my school's curriculum is what is called a 'filter' but is better known as challenging, extensive summer reading. Look up The Prize. That is just one.
I've been in 7 AP classes. I don't take them because I feel like I have to to get into college, I take them because I'm interested in those subjects and I want a class that's fast-paced and has kids who are more serious in them. I love the AP program, it's not as bad as videos like this would lead you to believe and it allows you to actually LEARN something in school.
I think that ''AP'' classes should not be offered to High School students. This is High School, NOT college. They're forcing kids to grow up too fast.
um, I took 3 AP classes and 8 IB, passed them all and no one gave me a scholarship for it!? It's all BS, no one cares...it's all about SAT/ACT and GPA. AP really isn't that hard either, its a semester of college in a year, you over-dramatic cows.
Schools should take more discretion in who they allow into these classes as my school does, we have to apply to actually take the class, and they choose the students whom they feel will be able to handle the work
I've taken AP Biology in 11th grade, and now as a Senior, I'm taking AP Physics and AP Psychology. AP courses are hard, but not as hard as you would expect. They are only hard for one reason: you have to learn a lot of information in a year or less. You have to cramp a whole chapter in a week or so, plus all the information that goes with it. If you like an AP class, then it will not be challenging AT ALL. I'm going to be a doctor, so AP Biology was fun and easy.

We're allowed to drop but we have to sign a contract saying that we won't kill ourselves.

1. AP is a form of weeding- take out the distruptive students who don't care about school.
2. The expectations in non-AP classes are a joke; you'll walk out having learned nothing more than junior high
3. Our educational system is ALL about taking tests. It doesn't start with AP
4. I have yet to see someone study 2-3 hours a night. Yes, there is homework, but it is manageable.
