good work

yes there are other branches of wing chun but the mainstream wing chun is yip man wing chun.

@sifupr I can really agree on this. My first Wing Chun was of San Sik methods and not the forms found in Ip Man form. I like the way William Cheung's method is presented and used. Didn't he have some more training like Hung Fa Yi Wing Chun or something that made him use his Wing Chun a little different than other Ip Man students?

SLT does not require these much muscle strength. Less thoughts can generate more power, therefore you do not need to think of using strength. Just relax, totally relax, imagine yourself don't have muscles but joints. Sense your own joint rotations instead of your muscles. You can be powerful if you train hard on your muscles, but your muscles power has limitations.

dude im impressed, congrats
@JCReiki, the translation of the 1st form on your channel is incorrect. SLT does NOT mean Shaolin Way. Do some research. Shaolin in Cantonese is Siu Lum. The last word Tao is not that same Tao as in the "way" The tauh in the first form means head. So SLT means small thoughts/concepts in the head. Ask a native Chinese speaker if you don't believe me.

Your manner of separating your feet is mostly for show. You even had to readjust your stance afterwards (bad in a fight). Your hands are not centered squarely on your chest, and your motions are, again, exaggerated and therefore ineffective. You're supposed to keep everything simple and straight to the point, because your opponent won't care how fancy you look. Also, optimal speed is FAR slower.
Keep in mind, your hands are supposed to guard your sternum. Keep them there, not your face. :)

That clip is of my student Jonas.
There is more than one version of WC
and I've studied a few of them.
So you can't say one is right and one
is wrong. In our WC we guard our uppergate
to protect the face. The stance is
supposed to be adjusted. Also, this
isn't a fighting form.

There are different approaches to WC and who is to say theirs is better? Most people think that Yip Man was the only WC Grandmaster. Yip Man had seniors that never made it to Hong Kong. And they had seniors who taught all over China. Leung Jan who was Yip Man's teachers teacher created Gu Lo WC using San Sik instead of forms. Is Gu Lo WC wrong? I have a problem with people who have a little WC knowledge yet criticsize what others do. After 40 years in WC I've learned not to criticize a WC style.

The first form has 3 speeds. One of them is fast.
