Thanks so much for posting this aircheck. This was before the Power days. I listened to Power 93 and Q96 during the 80s but Q96 would be my favorite around 89 because they would play the 12" versions instead of the edit's. Was KONO top 40 then as well, and weren't your rivals KSAQ 100.3, KTFM 102.7 and 550 KTSA. How did KITY stand apart from the others back then? I know in the 1980s KSAQ had Urban lean, KTFM Freestyle lean, and KITY had a rock lean to it like KSMG today.
