My daughter is working on a class project for her class entitled ethnicity & racism. The video clip is a variety of comments from Indians about our methods of determining who is Indian. Oh...and the girl reading her enrollment card is....my daughter, SKY.
I am proud of my daughter for the topic she chose.... we need to work on this issue.

Will this ever change? I think it is sad that I can trace my ancestory all the way back to my Creek and Choctaw roots...and in one moment someone decides that I am not Native American anymore? When I grew up here in Oklahoma around my people and culture and I am very proud I must say....

idk if you are Haudenosaunee it is the tribal elders themselves who will tell you you are "non Indian". My sons had three Native great grandparents Oneida, Seneca and Tuscarora but are considered white because i am...Dont' know of anyone but elders making that decision.
