We got there in August 08 and turned that place over to the Iraqis that December. What a shame too, I miss that place. It was by far the best part of my deployment. I wouldn't be surprised if the dam fell apart already the way those Iraqis conduct business.

OK I have no idea what kind of jacked up English you are using, but to answer your question (I think) Lima patrolled south dam village almost on a nightly basis. we were there all the time and that particular night we were on a 360 on a weapons dump past south dam village. Those idiots opened up on us with a 50. while we waited on EOD.

Just curious, if this video is about the AZ's why are there pictures of SURC's(the boats). Those are US Marine craft. I was at the dam in 06 running patrols on the SURC's and last I know we did a hand over to the US Navy.
