A very unusual way to play this well-known piece of Mozart: I play cornet and organ simultaneously. Probably I am one of the very few people in the whole world who make music in this way. But I must say: it gives me a great satisfaction. I form a duo with myself. It is difficult, that is true and it demands a lot of practice, but the result is that the sound of the organ has been enriched by the flexible sound of the cornet. The organ has been built by the Dutch organ builder Verschueren, and the cornet by the famous brass instrument factory of Getzen (USA). Info: www.gerardvanreenen.nl

  • The same is true for all the vocal music, played by one person, for example a pianist, a guitarist, an organist, an accordionist, etc. There is a lot of music originally composed for more than one player or singer, but executed by one person. It gives these players much satisfaction. Me too!

  • my band plays this song and i play the same part but on the trumpet. it's one of my favorites of Mozart along with Fur Elise.

  • doe het maar na!

  • zuiver spelen aub!

  • It's brave, but it would be better with two people focused on their own roles.
