Sprouting Seed...and Other Matters

I get lots of questions about sprouting seeds. I hope this answers some question. I also talk a little bit about my favorite company, Baker Creek Seed Company, for purchasing heirloom, open pollinated, not GMO seed for my garden. Lastly, I discuss an interesting piece of mail I got, saying someone from the government is going to call me and ask about vaccines we've had! Get ready...they're be asking you questions next.

WOW. Thanks for the info about the seed catalog. I just ordered one. I got sneak peak on line. last year the USDA made me give them all of my corn seeds stating I purchased them illegally. So I haven't purchase any seeds for the upcoming season afraid that they come and take all my seeds. Now I have a place to order from.

Read other statement first below this....This is sad but true. This is the "new" USA. We are no longer a Republic, but now we are a democracy....majority rule. And what 'they' say, ...goes! We are at the brink of a police state. For goodness sake.....be careful of any statements you make...they may come back to haunt you. In fact, it may be too late already. Just think...what are we prepping for....? Will not all this be a part of that? Just saying..............

@22justus2 I walk a fine line...all the time. Do I pull down my channel, and disappear out of fear and concern for myself and family, or do I stay as long as I can, and help as many people as I can before it's absolutely no longer possible? It's a struggle for me every day...especially this week.

How do you preserve the seeds for long term storage? I already sprout but I wanted to keep seeds other than wheat and barley in my long term storage.
