  • I love this, poor old Madaxe. Maybe next year he should try to change direction before he actually hits the wall? I'm not sure he would have passed the breathalizer, had the canal police pulled him

  • I think it was a case of if he'd had another brain it would have been lonely!

  • Was That A Black prince narrow boat

  • It as a 62 foot, cruiser stern Black Price called Mallard

  • I guess the guy was used to wide locks and thought (a) bloody 'ell a pair of locks! Whilst deciding which to enter forgot to reduce the throttle until its too late. Then he came across trying to fit a 6'11" wide boat in a 7'6" lock and did the fatal flaw of looking down one side - I just aim the boat and close my eyes LOL

  • Or he was just a twat

  • It beggars belief some of the utter idiots on these craft churning up mud and threatening safety and expensive damage. I spent summer 2008 on my neat 20ft Norman cruiser and sold it after being made sick of these bloody gobshites! Theres NO pleasure or safety now for grp boat owners.

If these arseholes perform in bed as on the canals I dread what their poor women have to endure and hope the wives have justified extra marital affairs !! A boat is NOT steered at its bows but by the stern !!!

  • I'm going to sail my first narrowboat in 2 weeks, on a toplock course and if I was as bad has that bloke i'd jump in the cut and drown myself, what a plonker, the shit he disturbed is unreal

  • Some people just shouldn't be let anywhere near the tiller of a narrowboat!!! :S

That's why a lot of narrowboats are covered in old car tyres, better to bounce off a tyre than scrape the walls of the canals and locks if you're not confident behind the wheel... :P

  • My god ..... I used to own a 63ft boat ( qween of clubs , Twekesbury ) and I could handle that a treat . But a right bastard in a cross wind beleave me ....

  • Brakes not working then..! I gress we all started somewhere...We did with common scence...!

  • ive been on two one called lily can't rember the other one
