yeah PLA navy does suck, but i guess their military objectives are just trying to defend their territory, not invading or muddling into someone else business.

@mistyken no, no, it sucks a few years ago, and still sucks now. but grows fast. It has added a fleet of 14 frigates, 3 very large landing platforms, in a matter of 5 years. The problem is the just there is no clear strategy as what the Chinese military is prepared to do yet. Just adding ships here and there and in all classes. Probably a good plan will come out in the next decade. because an aircraft carrier is in place, a few landing docks are ready, probably a new see-going fleet.
