  • Even that I love John Cale, I can´t understand this...

  • Hi Sad Lisa777, I think this would be perfect for a 60´s pyscho-horror film, it´s so dark & menacing. This & the other recordings in my opinion show who brought this into the Velvets. As far as I consider, he uses the inside strings of the piano to create this absolute haunting and amazing track. I always say Hanky Panky Nohow is the kind of music to send your kids to bed, and this the sound to wake(or better scare) them up at night. Who else can compose such contrary pieces of music? Ciao

  • That´s true! You makes me laugh... I replay Hanky Panky Nohow to my older sister and tell her: "This is about his experiences with drugs" and she had ask me with so surprised face: "It was lovely like this?" ...

And even that I love Cale, I don´t like very much his avant-garde years and also not his Island Record years...

  • soielt er auf densaiten vom klavier und nicht auf deb tasten ????

  • Most unusual! Love hearing the piano being played in 'reverse' - via strings rather than keys! Cale at his creative best yet again!!
