North Korean Hustle

@PeterDivine The DPRK régime is the most skilled in the world when it comes to crushing dissent. In Korea, if you speak out, not only can you be sent to a labour camp, but your extended family can too, under some circumstances. Nonetheless, there have been isolated protests and acts of resistance - anti-Kim graffiti, vandalism of government symbols, riots, etc. The authorities are harsh in dealing with these. Also, the lack of resources like gas and information would make revolution very hard.

@shzywansui What I don't understand is why there is so very few signs of resistance in Pyongyang. I mean, yeah, the regime is one of the worst on the planet, brutal and omnipresent, but people in North Korea are starving to death alongside their families in no small numbers. One would think that they would draw a line at some point. I can *almost* understand choosing to live without basic freedoms, but at sometime fear has to be overridden by a desire to stay alive, right? Nothing to lose, imo.

That's a nice leg work-out

@commonkweli Gotta keep the Kim bloodline strong........ ???

Amazing training done to these men... although pointless considering how close we are to making combat robots :D we already have 4-legged ones that can automatically navigate terrain like ice and rocky/snowy areas... without someone controlling it, and only gps coordinates to go by... so an army like that is kinda useless if you think about it.

@schs1977 So does every soldier that marches, that's pretty much what it's meant to look like

@carcotasu08 Regardless of their crimes, killing is nothing to enjoy. Reminds me of the disgusting celebrations in America after the murderer bin Ladin was killed.
Also, the North Korean people are not mindless sheep. They are fearful, or simply uninterested in politics. Most have more pressing issues, such as eating.
As for starvation, it's in the millions, not the thousands.
