Metropolitan Opera singer Hao Jiang Tian performs Hank Williams' "Jambalaya" in his new PBS special FROM MAO TO THE MET WITH HAO JIANG TIAN. FROM MAO TO THE MET is a true American story about one man's journey from childhood under Mao's China to a star basso with the Metropolitan Opera. The PBS special is the story of Hao Jiang Tian as presented in his one-man show about his fate, his music and the woman who changed his life. Based on the published autobiography "Along the Roaring River, My Wild Ride from Mao to the Met," the special premieres November 28 and airs in November and December 2009 on most PBS stations.
