Ultima Online Rares - Birth of a new market Part 1

http://www.markeedragon.com - This is by far my favorite video out of all of these where we take look back at MarkeeDragon.com. I think we may have coined the term "Rares". It's not a real word. But it came to identify all of these mistakes in the game that created very valuable items.

I remember trying to log in as soon as the server went up to grab the server wars. I also remember putting fishcakes under the basket so I could grab it.

Speaking of server up. Remember the server down wars?  About 10 minutes to the server being down it would no longer save your character. So we would all meet at Covetous and kill each other. then at server up we would all be alive again.

That was a very fond memory.

I had a 2 story statue and a Pegasus statue my rarest items. On Lake Superior. Phoenix armor, Chess peices, Dirty pots, Blood tiles.

I thoroughly enjoy Richard Garriot meetings. That is one cool house he owns, video of him and it on YouTube as well. He's a very nice guy, sincere. I'd love to see him return with a new online game like it, but original. Thank you for the dedication. New videos please! Thank him for me, because he made my day with Ultima IV, Ultima VI, Ultima Online and his sincerity. I think he mailed certificates of completion for Ultima IV. Lost mine!

Your videos rock, because you bring enthusiasm to gaming. It's the only way to have fun while meeting other people from all over the country, some others. Thank you for the game talk and servers you set up. I noted that MOA yesterday still has the rares auction house by the Trammel Vesper gate. I still remember the one time I was warning my PVP-crazy nephew about server down war-time.

And the game admins said that this time ALL the murder counts were going to stick.

You can imagine the sheer volume of outcry OSI got over that decision. They eventually did change their minds. :)
