Sounds like my Metal Forge out back of the house. Sounds like the same concept. Does it put out a lot of smoke? I built a small gasifier with a fan, I might have to try building a Sierra Knockoff. Just to see if I can do it LOL. Thanks again for the videos!

Ok I learned a little more about the stove today. I always thought it was a wood gas stove. I have not done much reasearch on the stove itself but now my curiosity has been sparked and will be looking more in to it. Thanks for the info.

the sierra stove is one of the original wood camp stoves. the holes for the superheated air are only at the bottom of the burn chamber. basically it heats up the air in between the to walls and then blows the hot air in to the coals, it starts burning on top but the air rises through the fuel. it's pretty cool.

So this stove has two speeds? I have always wanted one of them but the price is up there a bit.

Yes this stove has a small switch in the batt. box. it runs on 1 AA batt. supposedly 8-10 hours on low. the construction works but could be more stable. it packs up small enough for a pack but is rather heavy. it burns well and acts like a forge forcing heated air into the bottom of the burn chamber, it does not gasify. i will shoot a vid. soon with a close-up of the construction. the stove i recommend is the woodgas camping stove le small one. it weighs less than 2 lbs and really cooks.
