hope you found the noise..I have a clunk when corning hard or just moving slow over uneven surfaces...its a tough one to find but im still working on it :-)

try disconecting the aircon drive belt and listen again does your particular car have the up dated cam chain lubrication pipe? its on the righthand side cam cover on rear of engine underneath easy to see! regards carlos

Oddly enough the rattling has gone away. Wouldn't be first time a noise has come and gone.
