Stryker has almost NO armor... by modern apc standards. Whole Europe is making sure that APC can hold its own against 30 mm AP at lest in front.

Polish Rosomak ( Patria AMV made in Poland ) is known to survive multiple RPG hits - without cage. Mounting CT-CV 105 mm on AMV took like 8 hours. So MGS isn't rly much of a discovery...

The Centauro B-1 was a very interesting vehicle fitted with a 105mm gun when it appeared in the italian arsenal (now being upgraded with a 120mm smoothbore similar to modern MBTs cannon)

or can be fitted with a 25mm for being used as a LAV.

The stryker project is interesting and US army understood the potential of the fast moving wheeled armored vehicles developed by Italy. Good job US.

it is known that usa bought 16 centauro for evaluation in the 90s ad it is the backbone for the stryker project...it could be a new machine for the modern battlefield, but i think these videos are some sort of advertisement...have you noticed the defence fence all around the stryker? it's used against rpgs because of the lack of protection against this king of threats...

be fast and ied safe is a big contraddiction. also at 60 mph just a boulder putted on the road and masked with a bush could make it roll over and make it a sitting duck. sometime this american style enthusiasm shows that only if you turn of the brain you can think to be perfect.
