@andrewr62 So very true - many people who don't have to struggle with depression think you can just 'snap out of it', which adds yet another element of shame for the depressed person to deal with.

@mike99051 For people who suffer from depression it is a life long problem not temporary. I feel most people do not understand depression which comes in many forms with many causes. For many it is indeed caused by

a chemical imbalance in the brain that is often very hard to correct even with medication.

My reaction to this performance is that he was hammered. Suicide: Permanent solution to a temporary problem. Del had such a (potentially) huge future. Del and Roy Orbison, any two better voices?
