This will show you how to connect any guitar, bass or whatever you want to your Mac and into Garageband using a cheap 1/4" male to 1/8" male cable!
You can buy it here:

  • Do you normally use direct-ins to record or do you mic your amps?

  • @dubickisbro Depends on the situation. I usually mic my amp, but I have been known to go direct as well! It really is up to you.

  • Adapter with "flex cable" is better. Then you don't have to worry about the weight.

  • @qigong1001 I don't like adaptors because they also add another connection to the signal path. Which turns in to extra noise, problems, signal loss etc...

  • Can I please marry you?

Me being a lesbian defeats the object but thankyou so much!

  • I have a macbook Pro and it doesn't have a second input jack, only a jack for headphones.. Is there a way for me to use the headphone jack or what??

  • I love you! You just save my life and made it sooo simple. <3

  • @GaragebandandBeyond Well its a one eighth to quarter inch cable adapter, but without the weight on the back of your computer input. Its the same thing as the cable your showing (but you don't use personally), but it has flexible wire that plugs in.

  • @GaragebandandBeyond Makes sense - will use them for jamming with bass before we record anything.

  • @rospiltore THANKS & yes of course. Once it's in GB you can ad effects, FYI it's better NOT to record with effects if you can. Better to ad them in later when you have all the tracks done.

  • @GaragebandandBeyond Will do :D ps you can also set individuals effects for each instrument on garageband using that gear?

  • @TheRiclopShow Then you would use a microphone

  • @rospiltore Please subscribe! And tell your friends!
