The Power Station Operations section had nothing that suited an operational environment that promoted hazard identification / risk management in place to effectively control hazards.
A consultative working group was formed comprising representatives from all of the operational teams to work on a process that was both practical and compliant.
The solution was a holistic approach to hazard identification and risk control that escalated based upon level of assessed risk.
The whole task took six months to complete including the delivery of training to approximately 80 persons.
