I have tested the new 5870 MFI Bluetooth GPS. Works well with iPod/iPad/iTouch
and also with my normal notebook and PDA , thanks to what GNS called dualmode.
Really no jailbreak needed works plug´n´play

Is this GPS works with iPad2 Wifi or only with iPad2 3g?? Can you help me with this doubt?? It's necessary internet?

i got a wayfinder gps for £6.. can't get it to work yet with my ipod

It does not work with TomTom on the Ipod as TomTom needs docking to their own in-car cradle but it works great on an ipod 4g with 4.3 running copilot or navigon

@rwburmeister This device is designed to provide gps to an iphone or ipad without a jailbreak so in theory, it should also work with google maps and update while you are driving. I was thinking of buying one with a wifi-only ipad 2 so I'm curious to know how well this works as I've heard tethering your phone is extremely slow. Please share your thoughts if you get one.

the receiver works more then 10h with one charge, it comes with a tiny car-charger
No jailbreak needed Apple certified works with TOMTOM and Navigon without any probs
