I had the portable version of it once but my virus scanner ate it. Treated the installer as a virus and made blender unuseable. Very weird.
No looking forward to the learning curve but results like this make it tempting.

it's really simple, you just get a torus, then duplicate the object a bunch of times while making the smaller. Then starting from the outer one just make them rotate like in the video, and make a parenting structure from the outside in. What I think I did is just copied the IP curves for all of them, if you know blender it's REALLY simple.

lol, gimp, people alway bundle those two programs together. You should totally get it, and try this because I think it was one of the easiest animations I've made so far.
I do have a warning, the learning curve is really steep, but if you can get past that the program is amazingly powerful.
