"Closer To You" on JENESYS Festival 2011

2011年12月17日（土）に東京・ガーデンシティ品川で「JENESYS FESTIVAL（ジェ
ネシス・フェスティバル）」を開催し、35カ国の高校生と日本の高校生など総勢
1500名が、ラオスの国民的歌手アレクサンドラさん（2002年にAFS・ASEANプログ
ラムに参加）とともに"Closer To You" を大合唱しました。

"Closer To You" は、歌手の竹内まりやさん（AFS19期生 1972年～73年にアメ
リカに留学）に自身の代表曲『元気を出して』を提供していただき、「つながり」
や「絆」をテーマにオリジナルの英語詞をつけて誕生した楽曲です。

Introduction of the "JENESYS Festival 2011" on 17 December, 2011,Shinagawa Tokyo.
Alexandra (LAO) sang a song called "Closer To You" with 1500 people at the Festival.
"Closer To You", originally by TAKUCHI MARIYA's "GENKI WO DASHITE".
MARIYA is a very popular and famous singer, song writer in Japan, and ex-AFS participant to US from Japan in 1973.
