  • Awe great performance, this is fantastic, is it from a dvd or tv broadcast?? Did hooky sing this on the album?? anyway cheers for posting this!!!!

  • Cheers.

I'm pretty sure that Hooky has always sung Dreams Never End, including the album version.

  • Actually, now that I think about, I may be thinking of another song...

  • Maybe your thinking of Leave Me Alone - they haven't played that since 1987, which is a great shame since it's one of New Order's best IMO.

  • i like this version best - the academy edit with the hooky interview in the middle just ruins the song.

  • Cheers, it wasn't easy editting out the Hooky interview bits.

  • Just as awesome as their 1981 performance in NY(wish I'd been old enough to be there)....a fucking classic track. And to hell with the knockers who say they slowed it down...that just isn't true.

  • I totally agree with Belzondium's comments, this could well be the Order at their peak.

  • Hook is my hero. Love how the cure completely blagged this for inbetween days

  • Having sought for a perfecter performance of DNE to Favourite, looks like this be it: by 1987, the singer has become confident enough of public response &/or himself to but strongly sing it, diffident neither nor subdued below musicianshipping.

  • Good job on the editing, love the commentry though :D

  • I didn't realize that Hooky sang this song. But this is a typical NO concert: off-pitch singing. Love them anyhow!

  • i love so much the fact that this song that is the first one on the first new order album is not sang by the singer of the band...

  • This is great maaaaannnn! I love Hooky!

    Cheers Mate~

  • 1:50 - 1:57, the visualized perfection

  • FUCKING YES, YES, YES, YES, YES. HOOOOOOOOOOOOOKYYYYYYYYYYYY.

  • 6 string bass!!!

  • wow, Hooks vocal performance is brutal
