Clara's War: One Girl's Story of Survival

Clara Kramer, a Holocaust survivor and co-founder of the Holocaust Resource Center at Kean University, recalls her twenty months in a hidden bunker in the basement of a German family's home in Nazi-occupied Poland. The family of the Kramer's house keeper took in eighteen Jews after hearing of Jewish families being taken to the woods to be killed. Ms. Kramer, who was 15 at the time, kept a diary of her experience. Clara Kramer appears with her co-author Stephen Glantz at the Marriott in Newton Massachusetts.

  • I assume the last of the surivor books will be written by people who were newborn infants in the 1940's, because how much fucking longer can all these so called survivors survive?

  • That Polish dude that sold her sister out was such a ****

  • I just read the book.

    I'm speechless until now ...

I was absolutely distraught over the whole story, and the part that Mania is killed, I cried too!

    Engaging and sad!

God bless all the survivors and their descendants.

To heroes like Mr. and Mrs. Beck, who put their lives at risk to save those in need.

The good spirit as Salka and Meir, that even with the impending war, spent what they had and what was not to give what to eat in worse situations than them.

MANIA AND, A SMALL GIANT WITH SOUL!

  • How could the holocaust ever be forgotten ? The world is bombarded with it 24 hrs. a day . Each new generation is being conditioned to accept a hollywood film script as a historical fact. I wonder how long it will be before this " True Story " joins the ignominious ranks of other " True Stories" such as...

    Misha Surviving with Wolves...

    Fragments...

    Angel at the Fence..

The Hand that signed the paper..etc etc

I know you will probably remove this comment so...Peace and Love anyway !!
