how are you now? I had my Lasik done shortly after you and still have night halos and day/night intensive glare

and also, the reason you still need reading glasses is because the reading prescription is down to a completely different part of the eye. laser surgery treats the cornea, not the lens itself. As you get older the lens loses elasticity which is why you need reading spex

Oh come on this is complete scaremongering
I've had laser surgery, LASIK Wavefront Intralase and trust me it's no where near as bad as this guy makes out. You can't see anything going on all you see is an amber light and a blue light which is the laser. There's practically no pain whatsoever, yes there is a little light sensitivity but what do you expect? you've just had surgery! Laser surgery is so safe its unbelievable the laser tracks your eye so even if it did move the laser follows it

I really want to get it, but now I'm not so sure. The recovery sounds about as bad as my debilitating eye infections I get when I forget about my contacts, so it might be worth it. Also, Dad, please don't equate yourself to Brad Pitt again in the future. It's weird.

I felt better the next day. It was hard to adjust to my severe far-sightedness ( I really lost the ability to read without glasses), but I'm now OK with the rest and enjoy not wearing glasses in the rain, skiing and other places.
