This video is part one of a two part series on how to flash your Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant device. Starting from a true stock 2.1 rom, then gaining root access and then flashing clockworkmod recovery.

**New download link for true stock firmware http://www.mediafire.com/?8kw71bx06an0vwg **

Download titanium backup before you start and backup all of your apps/data/settings. Happy Flashing!

  • Why did you use odin to get stock firmware on the phone? doesn't the phone already have stock firmware on it?

  • @Crowz I was on custom firmware at the time, Going back to stock with Odin is a way to do a fresh install. At least how I like to do it =]

  • I have the latest MIUI rom on my Vibrant but I am not happy with the battery life so I want to go back to the stock rom. Should I disable the Voodoo Lagfix before I follow your step or just keep it the way it is. And try to Install stock rom with you method I got in to the download mode it show comp 4 on my odin but it get stuck on the File analysis wat should be the problem.

  • @bynumezshop Hi there, you do not need to disable voodoo lagfix. Using odin it will rewrite to the stock RFS file system, make sure to select repartition when you do so. If you get stuck at file analysis, it happens. Its happened to me before. You need to get your phone back into download mode and try try try again. If you use my method of getting into download mode, you shouldn't have any problems. Also make sure you have the latest samsung vibrant usb drivers, Good luck!

  • Great vid

I have I9000 from bell (canada), will the t-mobile version work on my phone?

    Thanks a bunch

  • @Xtrell That is an excellent question, Try doing some research via XDA Developers, I am in the US and only have a Vibrant so that's what I'm familiar with.
