Roseanne WROTE this song about her dad. John recorded it. It is not a "Johnny Cash Song" It is a Roseanne Cash song about Johnny. Just to set the record straight.

Very talented guitarist, one of the best I've ever heard!!! Jim Soldi has nothing on Stueart.

For those who might not know...Stueart Smith is a terrific guitarist and a whole lot more than you can see in this short video...just pull up the Eagles and check out who's right there with Joe Walsh on the solo at the end of Hotel California. I've seen them three times and he is fabulous.

One of my very favorite recordings. Roseanne is highly underrated and a great singer, and Steuart Smith is one of the top handful of Nashville pickers.
I heard this on the radio just yesterday and turned it up for his solos as I wondered what kind of guitar it might be. I guessed a mahogany Martin or Gibson and lo and behold, that's a Gibson J-50 on the video (with mahogany back and sides).
That doesn't mean that's what Smith played on the record, of course, but it sounds the same.
