This is Part III of my "Mardi Gras Mambo" soap making video :-) There will be several "Parts" of this video showing how I create a small batch, cold-process soap in the Mardi Gras theme. The last video in this series will show me cutting the soap log :-) I hope you enjoy watching! Please subscribe and "thumbs up" if you like the videos! Thanks!

  • Hi Seedcovers - no, I just split my batch of 2 lb soap into 2 - 1 lb batches. Then I mixed up the first 1/2 (1 lb) and got that into the mold, then I mixed up the second 1/2 (1 lb) and got it into the mold. So, all of the soap was able to set up together :-) It was probably less than 20 minutes or so in between.

The green has a little bit of blue in it :-) It's my favorite green but it's not a "Kelly" green color. But it isn't quite as blue green as what is showing up on the camera.

  • So you let the first two soap layers sit a day before you add the additional layers? that green is so pretty, is it bluegreen or is it the camera?

  • @Seedcovers -- oh, the reason why I split my 2 lb batch up into 2 - 1 lbs is so that I can have a little more time to work with the soap and not have to be in a hurry worried about it setting up on me LOL

  • Very pretty soap KC!

  • I know exactly what you mean about having an idea for a soap design. I have made several soaps in the last couple of weeks and they did not turn out at all what I had in my head! LOL! I'll just keep soaping until I get it right!

  • @KCherieSoaps well it turned out perfect!
