  • i stood up and pushed my baby out with midwives at the hospital, my experience with unmedicated hospital births was pretty good with very little intervention, very thankful for that. But I think the midwives get a sense if you 'got it' or not. letting them know is important. ;)

  • @Stephanielauranicol That is great your midwives were so supportive. I think a lot has to do with how supportive the nurses and care providers are about pushing in a hospital setting too.

  • How can holding your breath help you in any circumstance?

  • @phatNaturals It can speed up the birth by a few minutes. So if a baby is showing signs of distress, then it may be a good way to push. If mom and baby are doing well, I think it is better to let mom follow her body and push how she wants to.

  • On my 3rd Child Birth, I was at a Hospital Unmedicated.. I had a Midwife who told me to follow what my body wants. She let me stay on my side (wich was more comfortable for me) and never onced told me to push. She let me give all the orders. I loved it.. I had never done that before.. she Was so Awesome and I didnt felt Rushed! Great Videos and Congrats to the mommas!!

  • @speedt54 It is always so great and empowering when care providers let mom push on her own time! I am glad you had such great support.

  • thanks for the great video

  • It seems like the doctors and nurses are so used to women who just expect to be medicated and told what to do. It is surprising to them to see a woman who is in control and knows what to do. I think women are finally starting to stand firm and tell doctors that this is their birthing experience, not the doctor's. Great video.

  • BEAUTIFUL! Thank you so much for sharing this. I love hypnosis. I love that you suggest waiting for the cord to stop pulsing too. Fantastic work, and congrats to the parents.

  • I love how you told them to back off. Really It's annoying being told what to do when you're body is knowing what it needs to do and someone is telling you to do something that does not feel right. I am expecting number 3 in June and I plan to tell them what i do and DO NOT feel comfortable with. I'm not going to be pushed around. I am also practicing Hypnobirthing.
