ok so my hair was like 1950's atomic red. Its really long. I lifted it with 20V and blue powder then toned it with light natural blonde. Its very strawberry blonde now but just too much red. I dont want to lift it again because it will fry it. Any suggestions?!

@nobodysstranger you are stripping the pigment from the hair, not covering it.

how do you control how much ash goes in most colors just say ash.
-
OMG but WHY?! Red is so much prettier! (I may be partial though...)

what she means is you have to strip your hair until it's light enough depending on what shade of blonde you want. then bleach it a few times until it's a pale yellow colour then add an ash blonde hair dye to get rid of the brassy colours. not sure how to get it platinum though, that might take a good few bleaches.

I didn't think that I could be more confused about how to go about dying my hair from red to blonde...I then watched this.

Thanks for nothing.
Expert Village as proved once again that there's nothing expert about them.

you can't "temporarily" lighten any hair colour. Temp colour covers up, imagine using a light coloured marke on dark paper, it just doesn't work.
