In his 4-part oral history interview, Dr. Robert Schuller describes his early years growing up poor on a farm in Iowa. He talks about his calling to religion and his eventual move to California. He discussed the formation of the Garden Grove Community Church, where he preached to his congregants gathered at a drive-in movie theater. He described the growth of the church, and his eventual foray into television on The Hour of Power. • I love Dr Robert Schuller. Shut up to the guy who called him "satan" and those who hate him because he has different views than their strict narrowminded religious views,.

I hate to say it but if he'd done better at Mathematics, maybe things would have worked out better later for the big building.

    .

Great to hear all this history.

    Cheers.

  • @mami14344 I agree, he made me who I am too, fashioned my whole life. I started watching him when I was 17 years old, he came on tv on Saturday nights then, on the channel that I watched him on. I am now 57, and have always found myself to need his preaching to get through life each week. I grew so much as a person and in FAITH, thanks to him. It was a sad day for me when his son took over, I like him, he just can't fill his father's shoes, but, no one ever will. He is uniquely gifted.

  • "I have a reputation worldwide of being tolerant of all people and their views," he said. "I'm too well-educated to criticize a certain religion or group of people for what they believe in. It's called freedom."

Robert schuller's kind of modernist 'tolerance' is leading people away from Christ and into hell.He turned CC into some religious market place.

A true Bible believing christian church should be zero tolerant with any other doctrine except the true message of God's Word alone.

  • well, not to be Freemason is is the biggest sad thing, the whol situation in CC is asd including the fraud. And we can't di as if that nog wasn't ther even when the daughter is taking over the whole CC and they are not talking at all of the fraud, the lies and all the people who lost they're job.

This man is a liar.So sad.

  • God bless you Dr. Schuller, ther are so many phoney evangelists but you have always been the real deal.

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY Dr. Schuller!!!!!!!!

  • this a very powerful interview...great interview

  • @the13thof12 The illegal enlightenment ritual of Rev. Robert Schuller a 33rd Degree Freemason shown that the 33rd degree secret is Tesla Earthquake No. 333 and was initiated with a predicted seismic event appearing divine at the time to an “idiot of the 33rd degree” -Mark Twain (Freemason)

  • Why do you say that? Jesus Christ emphasized that above all else, the most important standard of conduct is to seek peace with friends and enemies alike, to spread joy throughout the world, to alleviate suffering where one can, and to love one another - striving to even one day foster love and forgiveness between enemies. Schuller preaches this - the CENTRAL TEACHINGS of Jesus Christ - yet so many "Christians" conveniently ignore the elephant in the Bible.

This is one Atheist for Jesus.
