Just the beginning of a series on the college application process.
Tip One: Take ACT and/or SAT Junior Year
Tip Two: Look for the school that's right for you.
Tip Three: Start a list of colleges keeping in mind (location, cost, etc...)
Tip Four: Start Applications over the summer if you can
Tip Five: Get a fee Wavier for the ACT and the SAT. (believe me comes in handy)
Tip SIx: Talk to the adults around you
Tip Seven: Request information online from colleges (even if you don't want to go there it'll give you an idea of what's the standard.)
Tip Eight: Try to write your essay during the summer.
Tip Nine: Ask teachers for recommendations at the end of Junior year
Tip Ten: Do the best you can in all your classes so you have nothing to worry about senior year.
In my experience the ACT's were better for me.
