I've been a Rockets fans since 1979 and it just doesn't feel right not having the Sonics in Seattle.

what i love about the NBA on NBC intros is that they could seriously get anyone hyped for just middle school basketball games lol.

@joekiddlouischama Not in Seattle it wasn't. I remember that it was supposed to be on tnt but in Seattle the home games were blacked out on that channel-both regular season and playoff home games. If you wanted to watch the game on tv you had to pay the cable company extra to watch Sonics home games on Pay per view. I was mad because that could have been the Sonics last game of the season and I would have missed it.

Don't worry Seattle, you'll get an NBA team soon enough... It's unfortunate, Sonics had so much rich history in Seattle.

This was pretty much an exact reversal of the 1993 Playoff series between these teams. Both teams finished with the same record that year, Houston was #2 and Seattle was #3. That year home court went to Seattle because of a better head to head record against Houston. In1997 it was the same thing just the other way around.Its pretty ironic if you think about it.
