I voted in favor of this, but unfortunately it didn't pass. Some day I hope it will.

If marijuana got taxed, i wouldn't have to clamor for the classes and credit hours i need to graduate at ucsd. One thing they need to make sure of though is restricting the growth of cannabis to licensed growers and outlawing any big corporations from selling the final product (as opposed to seeds and horticulture supplies). otherwise, the industry would become like tobacco.

@islandbee Ur right, my bad, i must have forgotten about the other states that have legalized it or are trying to legalize it. Its great to hear that WA state is behind this fight. I just wish more states would join along and maybe we can finally get this legalized on the national scale instead of just state.

@js21392 I live in WA state and we are trying to pass an initiative (I-1068) this Nov to fully legalize and decriminalize MJ for 18 and over....a much more "filthier" initiative than Cali's. He's talking about a 1 oz limit for personal in CA, and it WA state there would be no limit. And we don't make sense b/c we aren't CA??? Go to sensiblewashington(dot)org for more info. We are still trying to qualify for the ballot, but WA is definitely on board about MJ.

We have a lot of dumbasses in the world, and people believe marijuana should stay illegal because these dumbasses will suck at smoking weed. If we legalize it, they will make Marijuana look bad by being super lazy and getting retarded jobs, acting stupid, not going to school and possibly doing harder drugs.

except for Ron Paul of course
The war on drugs is a failed policy eating billions of dollars and destroying lives. End prohibition and start the healing process please!
