This is, simply, a video of me perfoming a Taekwondo pattern (poomse koryo). I used as many different camera angles as i could so i try to get a professional style to my video. As a consiquence of this, i got apsolutely nackered as i was repeating the pattern over and over again. (by the end my top was starting to look see through because of the sweat!)
I used lots of angles to achieve this style because that is what most people said that they liked.

Personally, koryo is one of my favorite patterns, It has a real mixture of moves in it, hard, soft, fast, kicks, punches knife hands, many stances and new moves such as leg breaks.

I used a song as my audio because the radio was on in the background and, because of the way i edited it, the natural sound is all cut up and does not match. I will upload one of original videos so you can watch the whole pattern with out any editing and with the 'natural' audio. (which some people also wanted.)

The word Koryo is the name of an ancient Korean Dynasty who defeated their Mongolian enemies. the reason why this poomse has this name is because the poomse's movements are supposed to reflect the spirit that the Koryo Dynasty displayed in order to defeat the Mongols.

The song is 'Wondering' by 'maer808' (ID:436258) who is a user on Newgrounds.com, and i thank maer808 for letting me use it.

  • awesome, thanks for the share [k]

  • I got my TKW DO black belt in 1978 when I was 17 and soon I gave up it up as I felt itt was a very rigid and unhealthy martial art. Examine other forms such as Choi Kwon Do which is more holistic in its movement and philosophy. Good luck and keep practicing
