Cardinal George: 'Some of Obamas policies are simply wrong'
October 8, 2009. Miles away from home Cardinal Francis George took the mic at University of Lateranense, ready to discuss his latest book: The Difference God Makes.
A book, the President of the U.S Conference of Catholic Bishops says is about relationships and the role religion plays in peoples lives.
But aside from his written message, others are also interested in the relationship between U.S bishops and the White House.

President U.S Conference of Catholic Bishops
I think our country can be proud from having slavery in our constitution in the beginning to now having an African-American president, and we are proud of that".
But bishops in the U.S are not proud of all the policies set by President Barack Obama, he calls some divisive.

Some of his policies are simply wrong, and those moments we do what we can in a free country which is to criticize the polices of our government".
In particular Cardinal George is referring to the protection of human life, the use of tax money to support abortion oversees and the potential use of tax money to support abortion in the country, part of the ongoing contentious health care debate.
However there are other issues some like the new U.S ambassador to the Vatican are more optimistic about.
Ambassador Miguel Diaz who also attended the book signing, has said hes convinced there is wide potential cooperation between the Vatican and the president' administration.

The Catholics are afraid, they no longer have complete monopoly and dictatorship over citizens. GOOD, about time!

It is now May 2011. The fact that this video has had only 1800 views speaks volumes. There is too much house cleaning that needs to go in Chicago for this "leader"of the church to take time off to write a book. A more interesting read would be an autobiography of his work on the sex abuse crisis in the Catholic church. A real "appologia pro vita sua" is in order. Now.... that I would read.

Some presidential policies will always be simply wrong, whether they are Republican or Democrat.

Cardinal George Deposition in the Chicago Sex Abuse Scandals showed he was aware of priests molesting minors, and refused to remove abusive clergy from ministry. He did not hold the Church accountable, nor did he report crimes to police. It seems as if there is a disconnect between his book " The Difference God Makes in People's Lives" and his own actions.Given this lack of l ethics Cardinal George's criticism of Mr. Obama's moral character and policies seems hollow and unconvincing.

Cardinal Francis George, lobbiest, demagogue, and statesman at large. Yet another funny looking politician who talks out of both sides of his mouth. A sad day when priests mind the devil's own shoppe.

Obama untruthfully said "No federal dollars (in his health care proposal) will be used to fund abortions". His plan explicitly authorizes his Administration to pay for all abortions under the "public option". Any person who enrolls in that plan must pay into abortion coverage. Abortionists would send bills for abortion to the federal government and receive payment checks drawn on federal (i.e. public) funds in a federal Treasury account. This is direct federal government funding of abortion.
